Pit Sky Lights Owner & Creator Vahn Stone designed & engineered this product proudly in Salem Oregon, where it is still being manufactured to this day. He Started in 2006 building light kits for certain types of venues, trailers, Arenas, vehicle applications & outdoor shows. He also built the framework to support each light set & custom fabricated numerous designs that are still used today in the automotive industry. Vahn Stone also won several awards in the Automotive Industry for Custom LED Vehicle Lighting. His father (J. Vahn Stone) was a part time electrical engineer and pioneered the LED movement with building LED circuitry for numerous designs & applications that you see today.
In 2016, Both Vahns worked together when time allowed to build an LED Light set to mount to the rear of the trailer to provide racers with a better light option. We only wanted SUPER BRIGHT & Maximum Longevity and that's what we built! At that time we designed our very own 8ft LED Light Set @ 20,000 Lumens! A record breakthrough in the LED Lighting industry. We designed the LED Circuit, Chips & Circuit Board to provide us with a constant, reliable & Super Bright LED Light Output. Now that the LED Light Set was built, we needed a way to mount it to a trailer, That is where Vahn's custom metal fabrication & previous metal working skills came into play.
At that time PIT SKY LIGHTS were born! We finally Designed & Developed The Light Set You See Today That Is Mounted To The Rear Of Enclosed Trailers & Open Trailers. We even patented our Industry Break-Though. We had to wait several months before we could actually launch our products to allow time for the patent to finalize.
Unfortunately, before he could see the massive success that was coming from a product that was Designed & Built in a single car garage, J. Vahn Stone passed away from Cancer. We continue to build every light set as if he was still here watching us & helping everyway he could. We carry on the Hard Work & Dedication in his honor.
In January 2022 we welcomed Vahn's older brother Scott Stone to Pit Sky Lights LLC. He has a vast knowledge of LED Lighting & Circuit Boards. He came in at the perfect time to continue both national & world wide growth. Scott spent several years building LED Light Circuits, LED Light Designs & Various LED Lighting Products. Today, both brothers work together building Pit Sky Light Sets & Perform Research & Development everyday. Together they created the NEW Pit Sky Light Party Light set that changes colors & has 358 Live Mode displays. A Great Partnership between 2 brothers, makes a great work environment. Since we created this industry, we might as well make it Brighter!
We have since Designed NEW LED Circuits & Light Sets Producing 26,000 Lumens, 29,000 Lumens, 39,000 Lumens, 45,000 Lumens -To Now- 52,000 Lumens - 58,000 Lumens - 60,000 Lumens and even 90,000 Lumens!
We Now have launched Carbon Fiber frames to have a lighter & more easily moveable Pit Light Set. We also manufacture Lift Gate Trailer Retro Fit LED Light Sets & Hot Pit / Tech Bay LED Light Sets. There is no slowing down for us!
